Mike Fioriglio - Owner

Mike opened Philadelphia Music Studios in 2014 with the intention of creating a community center for musicians. His goal is to help build and support the Philadelphia music scene. Professionally, Mike is a Guitarist/Multi-instrumentalist, Music Educator, Instrument Tech, Sound Engineer, Producer as well as many other things. Being a bit of a "jack of all trades" he decided to open a studio that offers a bit of everything (musically) to the community.  At the studio he can be found teaching, mixing, repairing, and mentoring all that come through the doors.  When not running the studio, he can be found gigging with the "Midnight Hour" dance band, helping out in Guitar Center's "repairs" dept. or out supporting local musicians.  Mike holds a degree from the prestigious Musician's Institute in Los Angeles, Ca.

Dan Smith - Drums

Hi I'm Dan and I've been teaching music lessons full-time since 2021, but I began teaching in 2013. I've played drums for 24 years and guitar for 21 years. My primary instrument is the drums and as a drummer I've done a lot of touring of the US, Canada, and Europe. In 2019 I released an album with my solo/studio project called Sleep Tactics in which I wrote and performed all of the instruments (drums, guitar, bass, piano, vocals). Check out my youtube page for drumming content!

Olivia Love- voice, guitar, piano, bass, audio/sound

Olivia has the heart of song. From a young age she was writing poems and digging through melodies on the radio. She performed in a number of cabarets and theater performances in her childhood, but got her professional start at 16 studying voice and Jazz Performance under Toni Marie Palmertree. In college, she chose to take a more creative direction and received a major in Media Arts from Temple University, with a focus on music production. Leading up to and during her time at Temple, Olivia spent most nights strumming the guitar and concocting chord shapes… she eventually fell in love with the instrument. After graduating in 2018, she realized there was no other path for her and began pursuing music full time. Olivia writes complex, unconventional compositions and catchy pop songs a-like. Her performances are intimate, she can be found anywhere from Philly Folk Fest to DIY basements spaces. Her primary work is under “Olivia Love,” (@tranquilahkill) but also has side projects such as her band “present tense” and a jazz/r&b duo titled “lovenotes;”Teaching music has been one of the most fulfilling pursuits in the industry for Olivia, beginning at Bach to Rock in 2021, teaching ages all the way from 4-60. She enjoys helping kids find THEIR specific path as young learners and getting to see them emotionally relate/regulate through an instrument, as well as helping them create masterpieces of their own! Her mission is to make music fun and accessible for all.
